I had been a nurse before I started these 3 years graphic design programme. You may feel curious about why I gave up my previous job. Let me further explain why I have this determination to become a graphic designer.

 

4 years ago, I was a nurse student. There has a project to design an education poster to teach the patient how to collect the specimen in 8 steps procedure. In normal, educate an adult to learn the procedure needs to take 5 to 10minutes. However, most of the people can learn by themselves without our explanation. This experience makes me think visual graphics is a powerful media to spread the words to different nations, people and age. Thus, I want to use these effective ways to do more meaningful things.

 

 During my studies, I have completed projects on User Experience Design, these projects let me learn how to put myself in the user position and analyse the problems of the existing design, which has strengthened my design thinking and problem-solving skills. These skills are important to my design process then create a useful design.

 

Besides, my part-time job experience as a Graphic Designer at SkinVita Company has assigned me some graphic design work such as product packing Design and social media promotion projects. These works need to cooperate with other colleges, for example, discussing the products graphics style and adjustment of the product packaging. It also needs to communicate with the printing of the promotional printing items. Therefore, my communication skills were gained by working in a team and more self-motivating.

 

Through my professional training and working experience, I have totally understood being a graphic designer should need to have and I still love and enjoy being a graphic designer.
